About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the Ascension team as a Certified Anesthesia Coordinator. As a key member of the surgical services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of anesthesia services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage anesthesia equipment, supplies, and personnel to ensure optimal patient care outcomes.
  • Organize and evaluate the work of assigned anesthesia service associates, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Provide oversight of daily equipment maintenance and troubleshoot malfunctions to minimize downtime.
  • Assist with the training and scheduling of staff, ensuring that all team members are equipped to provide high-quality care.
  • Coordinate and/or perform administrative duties specific to the unit, including billing processing, scheduling, ordering supplies, and responding to external inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the department manager to develop and implement process improvements, ensuring that the anesthesia department operates efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
  • Anesthesia Tech certification from the American Society of Anesthesia Technicians/Technologists (ASATT) is preferred.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Anesthesia Tech experience is strongly preferred.
  • Anesthesia Tech certification from the American Society of Anesthesia Technicians/Technologists (ASATT) is strongly preferred.
