Job Summary

The Computed Tomography Technologist plays a critical role in providing direct patient care by applying the skill of diagnostic imaging utilizing CT scanning equipment. This position requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail to produce diagnostic-quality images.

Key Responsibilities
  • Confirm patient and procedural data for accuracy
  • Perform computed tomography procedures, including positioning and immobilizing patients
  • Operate CT scanning equipment to produce diagnostic images
  • Administer radiographic contrast agents as needed
  • Assist radiologists with biopsies and drainage procedures
  • Maintain knowledge of CT IT systems, including Radiant and PACS
Requirements
  • Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institute (preferred)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required)
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (preferred)
  • State licensure (preferred)
  • 1 year of experience as a CT or Rad Tech (preferred)
