Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Oversight: Manage the flow of parts within the warehouse, address aged and obsolete stock, and ensure inventory levels align with market needs.
- Team Management: Lead the team, oversee customer service at the counter, and facilitate training on new products and after-hours support.
- Customer Engagement: Formulate marketing strategies, enhance customer interactions, and maintain our commitment to exceptional service.
- Operational Management: Supervise freight recovery, manage expenses, handle warranty claims, and drive overall profitability.
- Support the Branch Manager with various operational tasks.
- Conduct data entry and general administrative functions.
- Maintain a tidy and organized work environment.
- Ensure reliable staffing at the parts counter to meet the needs of both service and retail customers.
- Respond to inquiries at the counter and via phone, highlighting product features, providing quotes, and preparing sales orders.
- Document and inventory all incoming supplies and components.
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Reach and utilize telecommunication devices.
- Read and interpret documents and computer data.
- Communicate effectively in person and over the phone.
- Walk and stand for prolonged periods as necessary.
- Ability to hear communications clearly in person and via phone.
- Bend and move as required to fulfill job responsibilities.
Essential Skills
- Communication: Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in computer operations and familiar with software applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Leadership: Capable of managing performance, negotiating, and motivating team members.
- Stress Management: Ability to handle stress while maintaining a positive service-oriented attitude.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Software Proficiency: Essential skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies as necessary.
- Experience: Previous management experience is advantageous; familiarity with agricultural machinery is a plus.
