Job Summary

The Team Member is a vital part of our Tractor Supply Company team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and supporting our selling initiatives. As a Team Member, you will be the face of our company, interacting with customers and team members to create a Legendary Customer Experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance, working scheduled shifts and adapting to varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as dictated by business needs.
  • Deliver on our promise of Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet the Customer, Uncover Customer's Needs & Wants, Recommend Product Solutions, Ask to Add Value & Appreciate the Customer.
  • Perform a combination of duties, including operating cash registers, recovering merchandise, participating in freight processes, completing Plan-o-gram procedures, assembling merchandise, performing janitorial duties, executing price changes, and operating equipment such as forklifts and balers.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of customers and team members, adhering to Company safety training and guidelines.
  • Process information and merchandise through the point-of-sale system, handle and be in contact with birds/poultry, and successfully complete all required training.
Requirements
  • No experience required; retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required; Team Members must be able to read, write, and count accurately.
  • Ability to move and transfer merchandise, weighing up to 50 pounds, throughout the store; ability to push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with assistance of proper material handling equipment.
  • Ability to frequently stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders; ability to move throughout the store for an entire shift.
  • Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run a store, including computers, cash registers, and other store equipment.
Working Conditions
  • Working environment is favorable, generally working inside with moderate noise; indoor floors and outdoor lots are hard surfaces (concrete, asphalt, etc.) with adequate lighting and temperature.
  • Work shifts vary from one store to another, but generally are no less than 4 hours and may exceed 8 hours.
