Gateway Gastroenterology is seeking a skilled and compassionate Outpatient Clinical Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide expert clinical care for patients with gastrointestinal conditions, perform diagnostic evaluations, and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Perform thorough assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide follow-up care for patients with gastrointestinal disorders.
- Diagnose gastrointestinal conditions such as acid reflux, IBS, Crohn's disease, fatty liver, and hepatitis.
- Provide patient education and support to enhance their overall health and well-being.
- Collaborate with gastroenterologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records, including patient histories, examination findings, and treatment plans.
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in gastroenterology or a related specialty.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively educate and support patients and collaborate with a diverse healthcare team.
- Previous experience working in an outpatient gastroenterology setting.
- Additional certification or training in gastroenterology or a related field.
