Job Overview

The role of the Evening Production Supervisor is crucial in ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Standards. This position involves supervising production staff and maintaining the integrity of the facility to meet customer quality expectations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure Compliance: Monitor adherence to line-specific Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P).
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and oversee the execution of Finished Product Information Sheets.
  • Documentation Management: Request updates to daily quality documents in response to customer specification changes.
  • Process Improvement: Participate in the execution and review of Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Communication: Liaise with the Production Manager regarding Quality Assurance and Quality Control issues.
  • Resource Availability: Ensure that current S.O.Ps are accessible to production personnel.
  • Issue Resolution: Execute appropriate documentation when Food Safety or Quality issues arise.
  • Rework Procedures: Collaborate with the Quality Manager to develop or acquire rework procedures.
  • Product Quality Control: Reject products that do not meet specifications when necessary.
  • FDA Compliance: Conduct FDA Retains as per S.O.P.
  • Verification Processes: Carry out metal detector verification processes according to established procedures.
  • Team Development: Mentor and coach team members within the production environment.

Reporting Structure:

This position supervises General Factory Workers and has Production Supervisors as alternates during absences.


Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing setting, with at least 2 years in a production environment.
  • Skills:
    • 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
    • Strong mathematical abilities.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational capabilities.
