Senior Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician for VA Disability Assessments

MRG Exams is seeking a skilled Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician to conduct thorough, objective medical assessments for veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. This role involves reviewing comprehensive medical records, completing Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs), and providing accurate evaluations within 24 hours.
Job Summary:
As a PM&R physician with MRG Exams, you will be responsible for assessing veterans' current health conditions through in-depth evaluations, analyzing medical records, and documenting findings on DBQs. Your expertise will contribute to timely and accurate disability determinations, supporting the veteran community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and analyze veterans' medical records through a secure web portal
• Conduct comprehensive non-treating assessments of veterans to document current health conditions
• Complete and submit DBQs based on VA-specific templates to capture all relevant medical findings
• Ensure that all DBQs are thorough, accurate, and submitted within 24 hours of the assessment
• Assess up to four veterans daily
Benefits and Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have an active MD or DO license with a specialization in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). Board certification in Neurological Surgery, PM&R, or Psychiatry and Neurology is preferred. You should also possess strong typing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage time effectively. A commitment to serving veterans and making a positive impact in their lives is essential.
Compensation and Schedule:
The estimated annual salary for this position is $200,000-$250,000. The hybrid schedule consists of three days per week, with a mix of in-person and telehealth assessments.
