Long-Term Care Pharmacist Job Summary

A-Line Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled Long-Term Care Pharmacist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for evaluating physician medication orders, making recommendations for therapy changes, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide clinical and technical support.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate patient/resident databases, including current and past medical history, clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medication.
  • Ensure laboratory tests are ordered, evaluated, and discussed with the healthcare team as needed.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide clinical and technical support.
  • Document all communication with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in the medical record.
  • Implement policies and procedures for the safe procurement, storage, distribution, and use of drugs and biologicals.
  • Obtain and maintain required documentation in accordance with federal and state regulatory agencies and policy.
  • Inform the Pharmacy Manager of medication-related errors.
  • Assist facility/agency staff with procedures related to safe and effective methods of procuring, maintaining, administering, and disposing of drugs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree required; PharmD preferred.
  • 1+ year of pharmacist experience, preferably in Long-Term Care.
  • Must be licensed as a pharmacist in the state of NC.

This is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based on attendance, performance, and business needs. Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance. A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.
