Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CDL Driver to join our team at McGrath Rent Corp. As a Driver/Light Construction professional, you will be responsible for the safe delivery and return of storage containers and/or mobile office trailers, including periodic repairs, maintenance, and service of modular buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain compliance with safety equipment and gear for self and assigned vehicle
  • Complete quality check pre and post-trip inspections, ensuring mileage is reported accurately
  • Coordinate vehicle maintenance and conduct spot inspections for cleanliness and potential driving hazards
  • Provide exceptional customer service at drop/pickup sites and coordinate with sales or operations staff on any issues
  • Pickup and drop off modular buildings, portable storage containers, and portable offices at designated locations
  • Set up and break down modular buildings, including installation of skirting, ramps, and steps
  • Communicate frequently with dispatch or operations on trips, delays, and issues
Requirements
  • Minimum 1-year recent verifiable Class A driving experience
  • Previous container hauling experience desired
  • Landoll trailer experience preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and maintain physical activity throughout the day
  • Manual dexterity and ability to perform manual labor activities
  • Able to leverage straps and tie-downs to secure loads, work a winch, and other equipment
