Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Monitor to join our team at The Salvation Army. As a Monitor, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to women and children residing in our emergency shelter and permanent housing program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce shelter rules and regulations, ensuring a safe and secure environment for residents.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to residents, promoting their well-being and development.
  • Perform housekeeping and cooking responsibilities, maintaining a clean and comfortable living space.
  • Assist with clerical tasks, including documentation and communication with colleagues.
  • Participate in emergency intakes, providing critical support to residents in need.
Requirements
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree (or actively enrolled) with experience in a related field.
  • Child Protection Clearances, including PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
