Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute lawsuits.
  • Conduct legal research and gather evidence for lawsuits, such as interviewing witnesses, visiting crime scenes, or examining public records.
  • Draft, review, and revise legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, appeals, contracts, and legal memoranda.
  • Direct and coordinate law office activity, including delivery of subpoenas.
  • Negotiate settlements of civil disputes in the best interest of the client.
  • Interact with clients on a regular basis, keeping them informed about case progress.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to form a trial strategy and develop persuasive arguments.
  • Assist in the development of firm policies, procedures, and practices in the liability area.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice in the state.
  • Minimum 1+ years of experience as a Liability Associate Attorney.
  • Proven experience in trial cases is required.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
