POSITION DESCRIPTION

Transform client requirements into detailed drawings utilizing floor plans, quotes, and purchase orders; assist in the design of new products, update existing designs; create standard models and modify them according to customer preferences.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Investigate and implement standard and custom product lines and methods of sheet metal fabrication into product drawings.
  • Resolve issues with fellow CAD Draftspersons regarding specific projects and equipment requests.
  • Produce comprehensive drawings of equipment using AutoCAD software.
  • Reference similar drawings previously completed by the company to aid in the creation of new products.
  • Engage with clients to clarify inquiries regarding equipment requests.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure the accuracy of the model.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate's degree in drafting from a Technical School.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience/training or a combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Hands-on experience with CAD software.
  • Prior experience working with stainless steel materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment as a Drafter or in a similar capacity.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Solid mathematical abilities.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proven proficiency in various drafting software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented and quality-conscious.
  • Able to interpret blueprints accurately.
  • Skilled in precise measurement techniques.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
