Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to assess patient needs, develop individualized plans of care, and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
- Collaborate with patients and families to develop and implement care plans that meet their unique needs and preferences.
- Anticipate and respond to changes in patient condition, status, and need for care, taking appropriate actions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Implement strategies to reduce patient risk and increase patient safety, adhering to evidence-based practices and regulatory standards.
- Actively coordinate discharge plans, utilizing an interdisciplinary approach to ensure seamless transitions of care.
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, promoting a culture of safety and respect.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of processes that enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in Nursing.
- Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.
- Proficient computer skills, including electronic mail and electronic medical records systems.
- Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others, demonstrating a positive and professional attitude.
