The Export Manager is expected to exhibit strong leadership and customer service abilities. This role involves being a key representative for customers and overseeing the entire international shipment process from quotation to delivery. As an operations leader, you will be responsible for fostering healthy, mutually beneficial relationships with Priority Worldwide's international freight forwarding partners and regulatory bodies.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in Freight Forwarding Export
  • Expertise in Intermodal Exports - Air and Ocean
  • Experience with ITAR Shipments and Compliance Regulations
  • Must be able to work on-site
  • Experience in managing a team in a similar capacity
  • Familiarity with CargoWise is preferred
  • Exceptional customer service skills

Your Responsibilities...

You will be the driving force behind the export team, ensuring the timely, efficient, and cost-effective movement, routing, and occasional quoting of international freight under our purview.

Key Duties:

  • Act as a primary contact for all clients, both internal and external, with a constant focus on delivering the Ultimate Customer Experience.
  • Foster and promote a strong team environment.
  • Engage in direct, active communication with the assigned export team to ensure awareness of all activities and take a lead role in resolving issues.
  • Ensure the assigned export team operates effectively, responds to clients promptly, and adheres to established processes.
  • Develop measurable metrics and objectives to present to the team and management.
  • Assist the Directors of Operations and Compliance with any export compliance-related issues.
  • Manage workload distribution and task assignments for HQ and remote team members.
  • Exude energy and motivation to both customers and employees.
  • Lead weekly departmental meetings for the assigned export team.
  • Prepare, review, and present monthly departmental performance metrics.
  • Mentor and train team members, setting and reviewing individual and team goals.
  • Conduct AES filing audits.
  • Address and take action on any service issues, feedback from operations/sales, including reviewing and initiating CARS.
  • Be prepared to step in and take a hands-on approach when necessary to ensure client satisfaction.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation packages are tailored based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related criteria.

  • Salary range: $75,000 - $110,000 annually, based on experience.
