Job Summary

The Greek House Chefs is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. As a key member of our management team, the Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing all culinary activities, including menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Culinary Leadership: Provide strategic direction and guidance to the culinary team to ensure exceptional food quality and presentation.
  • Menu Planning: Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our clients, while ensuring profitability and efficiency.
  • Kitchen Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, inventory management, and staff supervision.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of chefs and kitchen staff.
  • Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of ingredients and supplies.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all food products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation.
  • Financial Management: Manage the kitchen budget, including food costs, labor costs, and inventory expenses.
Requirements
  • Education: 2-3 years of experience as a Lead Sous or Executive Chef, or a culinary degree from an accredited institution.
  • Certifications: ServSafe Certification within the first available class scheduled following employment, and maintenance of certification throughout employment.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for over 2/3 of the time, walk for over 2/3 of the time, and lift up to 50lbs under 1/3 of the time.
