Job Title: Residential Support Specialist Overnight

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Specialist to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Residential Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives.

Job Summary:

The Residential Support Specialist will provide personalized support to residents, developing and implementing care plans tailored to their unique needs and preferences. This includes assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration, promoting independence and self-sufficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized care to residents, developing and implementing care plans that meet their unique needs and preferences.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
  • Implement behavioral support plans in collaboration with the team, utilizing positive reinforcement and effective communication techniques to manage challenging behaviors and promote a calm and supportive living environment.
  • Facilitate community engagement and integration for residents by organizing and participating in recreational activities, outings, and social events, fostering a sense of belonging and connection.
  • Work closely with the interdisciplinary team, including healthcare professionals, therapists, and support staff, to ensure a holistic and person-centered approach to care.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid Driver License and ability to drive an organization vehicle
  • Access to transportation for local travel
  • Act 33/34/73 Clearances
  • Pre-Employment Drug Screen, Physical/TB
  • Must successfully pass Department of Public Welfare Medication Training within 90 days of employment
