Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Hillcrest Hospital.

About the Role:

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologists utilize advanced imaging technology to capture detailed images of the body's internal structures. As an MRI Technologist at Cleveland Clinic, you will work closely with physicians to prepare and operate MRI equipment, position patients correctly, and record diagnostic images.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and check patients prior to MRI procedures
  • Acquire and review patient questionnaires, charts, and data/requisitions to determine contraindications for MRI examinations
  • Verify and validate patient screening safety forms
  • Perform MRI procedures according to protocol and perform daily quality assurance checks
  • Perform venipunctures and educate patients on MRI procedures, equipment, and exams
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after exams
  • Assist with scheduling patients and administer contrast agents as needed
  • Acquire, archive, transmit, and print images via Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)
  • Complete after-hours transmission of images and paperwork
  • Report equipment malfunctions and maintain equipment up-time
  • Process billing via Radiology Information System (RIS)

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent
  • Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in good standing
  • Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) within one year of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist or experience in other imaging modalities

Physical Requirements:

Requires standing and walking for extended periods, lifting patients of varying weight, and manipulating equipment daily. Must be able to push and pull equipment up to 75 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
