Job OverviewPosition Title: Psychological Associate
Reports To: Executive Director
Classification: Exempt

Position Summary
The Psychological Associate is responsible for administering and interpreting standardized psychological assessments under the guidance of the Divisional Director and a licensed consulting psychologist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Select, administer, score, and interpret standardized psychological assessments and tools.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of assessment outcomes and provide both written and verbal reports to the Qualified Mental Retardation Professionals (QMRP).
  • Contribute to the formulation of Person-Centered Plans through collaborative interdisciplinary team efforts.
  • Participate in monthly Human Rights meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions.
  • Facilitate in-service training sessions focused on Behavior Management and related topics.
  • Design Behavior Management Programs tailored to individual clients and train direct care staff on implementation and documentation protocols.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of Behavior Management Programs through regular progress assessments.
  • Prepare annual psychological reports for all clients.
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations in accordance with established guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum age of 21 years due to auto liability coverage.
  • Must meet and uphold all requirements set by relevant state agencies, including maintaining good standing with state abuse and neglect agencies.
  • Successful completion of a drug screening and criminal background check is required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a psychological associate is necessary.
  • Previous experience in the field of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (ID/DD) is preferred.
  • Proficient understanding of the selection, administration, scoring, and interpretation of standardized psychological assessments.
  • A Master's degree in Psychology is required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • This position does not include supervisory duties.
Physical Requirements
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Regular movement is necessary to coordinate work activities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasional exposure to viruses and infectious conditions is possible.
  • Must maintain a high level of alertness and observation during working hours.
Employment Considerations
A valid driving record that meets the minimum requirements for Evergreen and reliable transportation is essential. Candidates must successfully pass a drug screening and criminal background check. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends may be required to address on-call emergencies.

Work Environment
Work may be conducted in various settings, both indoors and outdoors.
