Shreveport, Louisiana, United States Willis-Knighton Health System Full time
Willis-Knighton Health System is seeking a motivated and organized Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team on the 3 North med/surg/tele floor. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to improve their organizational and critical thinking skills while working in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional assessment and communication skills, with prior hospital nursing experience being recommended but not required. New graduates are encouraged to apply, as this role offers the opportunity to obtain valuable experience and prepare themselves for an RN degree if interested.

The average nurse-to-patient ratio on this floor is 1:5-6, with the assistance of a nurse aide. The patient population is a mix of medical, surgical, and cardiac cases, providing a diverse range of experiences for the successful candidate.

Key responsibilities include delegating tasks to ancillary staff, conducting comprehensive assessments and documentation, communicating with physicians and case managers, patient education, and accurate medication administration. All LPNs receive a comprehensive hospital and unit-specific orientation, which includes one-on-one nursing instruction with a preceptor.

In addition to professional growth and development opportunities, Willis-Knighton Health System offers a competitive salary and benefits package. For those committed to a two-year agreement, a sign-on bonus of $5,000 is offered, while those committing to a one-year agreement can expect a bonus of $3,000.
