About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Packaging Technician to join our team at Inteplast Group. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper identification of slit rolls and packing them according to customer specifications.

You will work closely with our production supervisor, lead technician, and slitting technicians to ensure seamless operations in our manufacturing environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify customer requirements by reviewing setup data.
  • Identify exception codes and use the correct packing supplies.
  • Print labels at the packaging station and verify roll data for each finished roll coming off the conveyors.
  • Demonstrate basic troubleshooting of conveying systems.
  • Operate the packaging crane safely and efficiently.
  • Enter data into the computer at the packing and stretch-wrapping stations.
  • Basic operation of the stretch-wrapper in both automatic and manual modes.
  • Weigh finished pallets and apply labels verifying data.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and a safe working environment.
  • Interact and communicate with fellow packers, production supervisor, lead technician, and slitting technicians as required.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and stack material using a forklift.
  • Demonstrate the ability to use the clamp truck.
  • Assist in any function of the Slitting Department as requested by your lead operator and/or supervisor.
