About the Role

Froedtert Health is seeking a highly skilled Mobile Breast Imaging Specialist to join their team in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will perform mammographic exams and take charge of identifying and resolving issues related to images, equipment, and quality control.

They will work effectively with medical and clinical staff, students, and patients, providing a positive teaching environment for new staff members.

In addition to performing breast imaging-related exams, the specialist will operate departmental equipment according to protocols and ensure that all applicable images are archived to PACS while maintaining data integrity.

Other responsibilities include entering and scheduling orders, checking in patients, beginning and ending exams, billing supplies, documenting notes, canceling or crediting submissions, reviewing patient history for pertinent clinical information and contraindications, and performing end-of-day reconciliation for all exams performed.

Requirements

  • Post-high school completion of an ARRT-approved program in Radiologic Technology
  • 1-2 years of college/university and/or undergraduate degree in radiologic technology or a clinically related field (preferred)
  • 40 hours of training specific to mammography (required)
  • ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology (RTR) and current State of Wisconsin license as a Radiographer (required)
  • Advanced certification through ARRT in ARRT-M within 12 months of hire (required)
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent within 90 days of hire (required)

Salary Information

Based on industry standards and considering the job requirements, we estimate the salary to be approximately $85,000 per year, paid in bi-weekly installments of $3,269.23.
