Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager Trainee to join our team at Walmart. As an Operations Manager Trainee, you will be responsible for leading and developing teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates; touring stores and providing feedback; communicating and collaborating with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates
  • Tour stores and provide feedback to associates
  • Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction
  • Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model
  • Drive the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating P&L (Profit & Loss) statements
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring of associates
  • Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
Requirements
  • 2 years' of college; OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience; OR 2 years' general work experience and 1 year's supervisory experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The hourly wage range for this position is $31.25-$38.46*

Minimum Qualifications...

2 years' of college; OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience; OR 2 years' general work experience and 1 year's supervisory experience.
For facilities that sell firearms, I acknowledge that the position for which I am applying will require successful completion of a firearms- specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
