Job Title: Service Technician-CDL Driver LTI

Job Summary:

The Service Technician-CDL Driver LTI is a field-based position responsible for driving a variety of vehicles for the transport of Company equipment. The primary focus is to plan and execute a safe and efficient Bulk fill cycle for both GF and TOR units on various Friction Management customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute a safe and efficient Bulk fill cycle for both GF and TOR units on various Friction Management customers.
  • Maintain a well-running truck and trailer while in possession and after trips, including servicing as needed.
  • Ensure equipment is properly loaded, weight distributed, secured, and protected for transportation.
  • Drive and/or operate the vehicle to and from the jobsite in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Perform DOT inspections per regulations and maintain an accurate and up-to-date DOT logbook per regulations.
  • Secure required special permits as needed.
  • Manage inventory held on maintenance vehicle through company processes.
  • Plan work based on length and task difficulty, develops schedules, and anticipates and adjusts for problems to meet objectives.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/Equivalent.
  • 1+ Years of experience in a similar role.
  • All Railroad Specific Certifications to operate on track, and Loram Operating Rules Certification.
  • Currently holds a CDL Driver's License and DOT Medical Card.
Working Conditions:
  • Up to 100% travel, including international, using any method of transportation.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to apply high levels of cognitive, analytical, retention and reasoning.
  • Excellent communication skills used within any social context.
