Master Die Craftsman

We are seeking a skilled Master Die Craftsman to join our team at Evansville Tool and Die, Inc.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in the tool and die, and mold industry. As a Master Die Craftsman, you will be responsible for assembling dies, molds, and tools when needed; disassembling molds, jigs, tools, and fixtures, then reassembling when repaired.

You will work closely with engineers and machinists to read and understand blueprints as required to build new fixtures, tools, molds, and dies.

Your Responsibilities

• Assemble dies, molds, and tools when needed
• Disassemble molds, jigs, tools, and fixtures, then reassemble when repaired
• Read and understand blueprints to build new fixtures, tools, molds, and dies
• Inspect completed tools and dies for signs of imperfection or damage that may affect functionality
• Test equipment, tools, and machines (NON CNC) to ensure they are arranged and set properly and working efficiently
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized workspace

Requirements

• High school diploma required
• 5+ years of experience in the tool and die, and mold industry
• Ability to safely and accurately operate all measuring and production equipment
• Basic understanding of metallic properties
• Ability to work independently, and with engineers and machinists

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience
