Chugh LLP is seeking a talented and driven Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. We are a full-service law firm with offices across the USA and India, providing comprehensive legal solutions in various practice areas including corporate law, tax, immigration, litigation, employment, entertainment, real estate, intellectual property, family law, and mergers & acquisitions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of legal matters, working closely with experienced attorneys and clients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert counsel on complex corporate transactions, litigation matters, and real estate law.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research, analyze case law, and prepare comprehensive legal briefs for submission to supervising attorneys, clients, courts, mediators, or arbitrators.
  • Represent Chugh LLP's clients effectively in court proceedings, arbitrations, and other judicial tribunals, presenting persuasive arguments before judges and juries.
  • Analyze and summarize intricate legal documents, including contracts, identifying key provisions and suggesting revisions to ensure clarity and enforceability.
  • Engage in negotiations with opposing parties on contractual disputes and legal matters, striving for mutually beneficial resolutions through settlement conferences.
  • Proactively identify potential legal risks within the firm or for clients, developing strategic mitigation plans to minimize litigation exposure and financial losses.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence investigations in connection with contracts, agreements, and mergers & acquisitions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications
  • 0-3 years of experience as a practicing attorney.
  • Active California State Bar License required.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an American Bar Association (ABA)-accredited law school.
