Job Summary

The Delivery Driver Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of products to customers. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload trucks and/or company vehicles by hand or by use of a hand truck or dolly, ensuring that products are properly secured and protected during transportation.
  • Product Verification: Verify all returning products with the appropriate check-in personnel to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Merchandise Handling: Pad, stack, and secure items in position to prevent damage during shipment, and deliver and stack merchandise on customer premises.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by delivering products to customers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Operational Support: Assist drivers off-load products to customers, and may operate company non-commercial vehicles to deliver products to customers as directed by the Transportation Supervisor.
  • Order Accuracy: Accurately count and deliver orders to customers, ensuring that all products are accounted for and delivered correctly.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 90 lbs. and climb in and out of trucks throughout the day.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Two-wheel dolly experience and equipment operations experience preferred.
  • Professional Skills: Ability to count money and keep account of merchandise.
