Position Overview:
POSITION SUMMARY: The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a vital role in supporting the Manager with the day-to-day functions of the store. Responsibilities include management tasks, overseeing store operations, training and mentoring staff, and ensuring that performance metrics are met. This position is crucial in maintaining operational standards and may require flexibility to work at various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:

  1. Assist the Store Manager and/or Operations Manager in daily operational activities, ensuring that revenue targets and operational goals are achieved.
  2. Deliver exceptional customer service to both customers and donors, ensuring that products meet the organization’s pricing and quality benchmarks.
  3. Support daily decision-making processes, scheduling, store planning, and timely completion of reports.
  4. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized store environment with well-displayed merchandise.
  5. Assume full responsibility for daily operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
  6. Collaborate with the manager to address employment-related issues in alignment with organizational best practices and legal requirements.
  7. Provide leadership, training, and professional development to staff, fostering a positive work environment that enhances productivity and meets departmental objectives.
  8. In partnership with the Store Manager, assist in preparing Annual Performance Evaluations, 5-Minute Goal Setting Conversations, and budget planning.
  9. Implement organizational initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.
  10. Report any operational concerns and contribute to their resolution. Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:
Skills and Abilities:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience: One to two years of relevant experience preferred.

Computer Skills: Proficient in basic computer applications, including email, internet navigation, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Certificates & Licenses: Valid CA Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.

Additional Requirements: Ability to operate electronic cash registers and perform basic arithmetic operations. Capability to handle cash transactions accurately and interpret sales reports.
