Purpose & Scope:

The Registered Nurse at VHC Health is responsible for providing direct and indirect total nursing care to assigned patients. This role requires knowledge of hospital policies and procedures, as well as strong interpretive and management skills. Effective communication and presentation of information are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and ancillary services to coordinate patient care.
  • Provide advanced nursing practice to patients with chronic wounds, ostomy conditions, or continence disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet patient needs.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in nursing required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Four years of healthcare experience in a relevant discipline preferred.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions or compact state licensure required.
  • BLS certification required.
