About the Job

The Department of Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences at the University of Minnesota is seeking a qualified individual to teach courses in speech-language pathology and audiology. This is a part-time, temporary position that may be renewable based on need, funding, and performance.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate or graduate students in assigned courses
  • Hold office hours to assist and advise students
  • Participate in relevant departmental meetings
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • M.A. degree from an accredited institution in Speech-Pathology and certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Doctor of Audiology and certification in Audiology (CCC-A), with at least two years of professional experience beyond the Clinical Fellowship Year in a hospital or school setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to deliver high-quality instruction to a diverse student body

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College-level teaching experience and supervision of students in a clinical setting
  • Previous experience providing educational experiences to health care providers
  • Knowledge and experience providing clinical care to pediatric and adult patients

The Department of Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences offers internationally recognized programs in speech-language hearing sciences (BA, Ph.D.), speech-language pathology (M.A.), and audiology (Au.D.) that provide outstanding opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to pursue academic, educational, and clinical careers.
