Job Title: Tax Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team at MarksNelson. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating tax planning and projections for business clients and their owners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee tax planning and projections for business clients and their owners
  • Review and prepare tax returns for closely held businesses and their owners
  • Conduct tax research projects and gather information for federal and state tax auditors
  • Communicate emerging tax issues and industry information to clients
  • Provide advisory and consulting services to clients
  • Lead and supervise staff, providing training and performance feedback
  • Identify opportunities to improve service and work processes
  • Servicing consulting engagements with large private and public companies
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Licensed CPA
  • At least 8 years of recent public accounting experience with an emphasis in tax
  • 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience
  • Industry experience in real estate, construction, or manufacturing is a plus
  • Experience with planning, compliance, research, and defense
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Strong background and experience with Tax methodologies and techniques
