Job Summary

The Infection Prevention and Control Manager is responsible for overseeing the Infection Prevention and Control Program at Mon Valley Hospital. This role involves collaborating with Infectious Disease Physicians and department managers to develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control practices and interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement infection prevention and control policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with Infectious Disease Physicians and department managers to ensure effective infection prevention and control practices
  • Monitor and analyze infection rates and trends
  • Develop and implement education and training programs for staff
  • Conduct surveillance and investigations of infections
  • Develop and implement infection control plans
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing or other health-related field
  • At least two years of clinical experience in infection control service
  • Working knowledge of epidemiology and infectious diseases
  • Education, training, or supervised experience related to infection surveillance, prevention, and control
  • Board Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer skills with working knowledge of Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in the use of surveillance technologies and health informatics
