Position: Shipping Worker/Carpenter
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 2 PM

POSITION SUMMARY:

Become a vital part of an exceptional production team in the glass manufacturing sector. Your role will involve crafting wooden crates, packing glass products, and loading shipments. Start your journey as an Operator Assistant and advance within the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Construct custom wooden crates according to provided specifications.
  • Utilize a variety of hand tools and power tools essential for carpentry tasks, including table saws, pneumatic nail guns, and drills.
  • Interpret measurements accurately using a tape measure up to 1/8 inch and occasionally in millimeters/centimeters.
  • Assist in loading and unloading glass using cranes, hoists, or manually with a partner.
  • Conduct quality inspections of glass products.
  • Assemble and attach hardware to glass for custom installations.
  • Operate forklifts for loading and unloading tasks.
  • Trim excess interlayer from glass edges and prepare for further processing.
WE SEEK CANDIDATES WHO:
  • Have prior experience in construction, furniture making, or related fields.
  • Are skilled in using power tools and woodworking.
  • Possess a willingness to learn basic computer skills.
  • Have experience with overhead cranes (preferred).
  • Aspire to build a long-term career.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills for effective order management.
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance to ensure timely product delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with others.
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
WORK SCHEDULE:
  • 1st Shift: 6 AM to 2:30 PM, starting pay: $16.80/hour.
  • Workdays: Monday through Friday, with potential Saturday shifts based on production needs.
