Job Overview

As a Supply Chain Procurement Analyst, you will utilize your strong communication skills and IT expertise to focus on procurement operations and data reporting. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the efficient acquisition of hardware components and equipment essential for our operations. You will take charge of sourcing, negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and refining procurement processes to align with the organization's technological requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sourcing: Identify, assess, and select hardware suppliers/vendors based on quality, pricing, reliability, and delivery capabilities.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous agreements while upholding quality standards and cost-effectiveness.
  • Vendor Management: Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with hardware suppliers/vendors to ensure timely delivery, resolve issues, and explore opportunities for cost savings and innovation.
  • Procurement Process Optimization: Develop and implement streamlined procurement processes and procedures to enhance operations, improve lead times, and minimize costs.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels of hardware components and equipment, forecast demand, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure sufficient supply for business operations.
  • Quality Assurance: Work with Quality Assurance teams to establish and uphold quality standards for hardware components and equipment, ensuring compliance with company requirements and industry regulations.
  • Cost Analysis and Budgeting: Analyze procurement data, monitor expenses, and prepare reports to support budgeting decisions, cost-saving initiatives, and performance evaluations.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on market trends, technological advancements, and industry developments related to hardware procurement, providing recommendations for ongoing improvement.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams such as IT, Engineering, Operations, and Finance to understand hardware requirements, align procurement activities with business objectives, and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements concerning procurement activities, including ethical sourcing practices and environmental sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Procurement Specialist or in a similar capacity, preferably within the technology sector with a focus on hardware procurement.
  • In-depth knowledge of hardware components and equipment, including CPUs, GPUs, memory, storage devices, and networking equipment, with extra consideration for expertise in pure storage hardware (FlashArray and FlashBlade).
  • Proven skills in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities with the capacity to interpret data, conduct cost analysis, and make informed decisions.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills, capable of prioritizing tasks, managing multiple projects concurrently, and meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards (e.g., ITAR, GDPR) related to hardware procurement is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Basic understanding of data center environments and technologies.
  • Technical background with a foundational understanding of Networking, Servers, and Storage.
  • Experience with Netsuite, Tableau, and Salesforce.
  • Finance and Accounting background.
  • Knowledge of computer applications, preferably with Slack, Teams, Jira, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office Products.

Estimated Pay Range: Compensation and employment offers are contingent upon the specifics of each case and will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, licenses or certifications, and location.
