About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Pharmacist to join our team at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) Health. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily responsibilities of drug distribution, computer drug and IV order processing, and therapeutic intervention as needed.
  • Provide drug information and consultation to other professional staff and patients, and maintain patient profiles.
  • Attend cardio-pulmonary emergencies, monitor drug therapy, and compound drugs as required.
  • Direct technicians, perform inventory control, and actively precept pharmacy residents, students, technicians, or interns as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of pharmacy as determined by the CA Board of Pharmacy.
  • One year of clinical experience as a licensed pharmacist or completion of PGY1 by time of hire.
  • Current knowledge of drug references, URAC requirements, and other regulatory standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload and extract pertinent information from the patient or other sources.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to operate Willow Ambulatory (WAM) computer system to process and verify prescriptions.
