Role Responsibilities

The Financial Accountant is responsible for applying accounting principles to evaluate financial data and generate financial reports. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements and closing processes.
  • Compiling and analyzing financial data to prepare entries for accounts, including general ledger accounts.
  • Managing corporate bank accounts and overseeing treasury functions.
  • Establishing and maintaining accounting controls and procedures.
  • Reviewing budgets and expenditures, ensuring accuracy in accounting reports.
  • Preparing and auditing expenses, payroll entries, invoices, and other financial documents.
  • Monitoring expenditure trends to maintain budgetary control.
  • Supporting the Financial Coordinator with daily tasks and assisting facility staff during the monthly closing process.
  • Resolving discrepancies in accounting records.
  • Recommending and developing financial databases and software systems.
  • Assisting with the input and management of financial data for automated systems.
  • Collaborating with internal and external auditors during audits.
  • Providing training on accounting systems to new staff as needed.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in financial and accounting software applications.
