The West Oakland Job Resource Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering underserved communities by providing financial and economic opportunities.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and self-sufficient individual to join our team as a CalFresh Benefits Coach. The successful candidate will work closely with our Financial and Career Coaches to assist clients in applying for and receiving public benefits, specifically CalFresh.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with diverse populations to provide assistance with public benefits application processes
  • Interface with public agencies to facilitate client services
  • Collect and store sensitive client data while maintaining confidentiality
  • Enter data into project database systems to track client progress

Requirements

  • Two years of experience working with public benefits, preferably CalFresh
  • Strong data tracking experience with various database systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks
  • Bilingual ability is a plus

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $17,500 to $19,500, depending on experience.
