Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Forklift Operator for our operations. This role is essential in maintaining the flow of materials within our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and organize steel coils, ensuring accurate inventory management.
- Prepare and stack trays or boxes on pallets for wrapping and shipping.
- Safely operate machinery, including punch presses, as required.
- Utilize industrial trucks or electric hoists for material handling.
- Monitor coil performance during initial production runs.
- Perform routine checks on machinery, ensuring proper oil and coolant levels.
- Maintain accurate records of production and rejected materials.
- Assist in inventory management of both finished goods and raw materials.
- Lift heavy items using appropriate equipment and maintain a clean work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- At least one year of experience operating sit-down forklifts in an industrial setting.
- Experience in a production environment is advantageous.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team.
- Basic math skills are necessary.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
