Outdoor Education Program Specialist

**Job Overview:**
The Wheaton Park District seeks a highly motivated and qualified Outdoor Education Program Specialist to join our team. As an integral part of our environmental education program, this individual will design, develop, and implement outdoor education programs for diverse audiences.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Prepare and present outdoor education programs on various topics, including science, nature, and team building.
- Maintain, organize, and inventory program equipment to ensure seamless delivery of programs.
- Supervise program participants and enforce rules and regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
**Requirements:**
- A high school diploma or equivalent; preference given to candidates with a degree in Environmental Science, Outdoor Education, or related field.
- Experience presenting programs to diverse audiences, preferably in classroom and informal settings.
- A working knowledge of parks and recreation fields, as well as local flora and fauna.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
**Estimated Salary:** $15.00-$19.00 per hour (dependent on experience). Benefits include opportunities for professional growth and development.
