Key Responsibilities:- Assist with direct patient care procedures, including vital sign monitoring, wound care, and medication administration.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and families, promoting a positive and respectful environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Meet the comfort and hygiene needs of patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with completion of patient testing and treatment procedures, including setting up and priming IV tubing, 12-lead ECG, and simple tracheostomy suctioning and care.
- Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and obtain wound and throat cultures as needed.
- Assist with ambulating patients with assistive devices and with transfer/transport procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, maintaining strict confidentiality of patient and employee information.
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification or equivalent experience.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) through AHA.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Less than one year of previous job-related experience required; 1-2 years of experience preferred.
