Equipment Maintenance Specialist

Job Overview:
This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the optimal functioning of our facilities by assisting in the determination of corrective actions for damaged or worn equipment. This involves analyzing historical data and collaborating with the operations team to identify cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing the protection of physical assets, facility maintenance, and housekeeping.
- Identify and schedule necessary repairs and preventative maintenance using BaSE mechanics and outside vendors.
- Communicate assigned work status to colleagues to determine potential impact on the department's schedule.
- Maintain environmental compliance in accordance with UPS environmental programs.
- Deliver required regulatory training to BaSE and non-BaSE personnel.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or international equivalent in Engineering (preferred).
- Programming experience, including troubleshooting, basic understanding of networks, motor control theory, and operation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and simple diagrams.
- Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week.
Additional Information:
- This job is a grade 20E.
- No relocation assistance offered.
- Must be currently in the same geographic location as the job or willing to self-relocate.
