Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our team as a Lead Systems Engineer in the Arlington, VA or JBAB, DC area.

As a Lead Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  1. Diagnosing and resolving performance, security, and/or technical challenges related to enterprise platforms.
  2. Providing Tier 3 IT systems support on a wide range of technologies across classified enterprise systems.
  3. Administering Microsoft Windows OS and various technologies, including VMware vCenter, VMware ESXi, Horizon View, Site Recovery Manager, HPAC Secure Printing, HP Servers, EMC SANs, Microsoft Office 2016, Certificate Services, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Group Policy, and PKIs.
  4. Administering Linux (RHEL) systems, including deployment and updates.
  5. Managing updates and software deployments using Microsoft SCCM/MECM.
  6. Deploying workstation images and managing thin and/or zero clients.
  7. Writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to accomplish repetitive tasks.
  8. Performing requirements analysis, requirements gathering, and integration for all platforms.
  9. Providing direction and guidance to less-experienced Systems Engineers.
  10. Investigating and resolving operational problems with other engineering and technical personnel.
  11. Working on project teams responsible for engineering and packaging releases within the customer's production IT environment.
Job Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  1. Active TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility.
  2. Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of related experience.
  3. At least 2 years of experience administering Linux (RHEL) systems.
  4. DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, or SSCP).
  5. DoD 8570 computing environment certification within 6 months of hire (e.g., MCSA, VCP, or equivalent).
  6. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Systems, EMC SANs, and VMware products.
  7. Willingness to occasionally work after normal duty hours to support system maintenance or service outages.
  8. Must be open to random CI Polygraph.
