Clinical Research Associate I

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Research Associate I to join our team. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing clinical trials, ensuring compliance with protocol and research objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of general research objectives and a passion for delivering high-quality results. If you are a team player with excellent communication skills and a commitment to excellence, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Enter clinical research data into Electronic Data Systems (EDCs) provided by sponsors.
- Provide supervised patient contact or patient contact for long-term follow-up patients only.
- Work closely with supervising research staff or directly with the Institutional Review Board to submit Adverse Events, Serious Adverse Events, and Safety Letters following local and federal guidelines.
- Schedule patients for research visits and research procedures.
- Responsible for sample preparation and shipping and maintenance of study supplies and kits.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and local agencies, including the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and local Institutional Review Board.
- Maintain research practices using Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations and applicable law.
- Participate in required training and education programs, including CSMC phlebotomy-specific clinical oversight.
- Perform phlebotomy services according to CSMC policies and procedures.
- Verify specimen identification, assess appropriateness of test orders, and quality of specimen.
- Identify patients and patient specimens by strict adherence to established procedures.
- Report test results to appropriate individuals and exercise professional discretion with patient information.
Education:
- High School Diploma/G.E.D., required.
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Sociology, or related degree, preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
- ACRP/SoCRA certification is preferred.
Experience:
- Clinical Research experience is highly preferred.
- Understanding of general research objectives.
