Endoscopy Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Endoscopy Technician to join our team at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. As an Endoscopy Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our Endoscopy unit.

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the Endoscopy unit, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment and supplies.
• Prepare patients for Endoscopy procedures, including explaining the procedure and obtaining informed consent.
• Assist the Endoscopy team during procedures, including passing instruments and maintaining a safe and organized environment.
• Monitor patients during and after procedures, reporting any concerns or issues to the Endoscopy team.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information and procedure details.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in Endoscopy or a related field.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.

• Endoscopy certification or training.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare software.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification.
