Job Summary

Chenega Corporation is seeking an experienced Training Instructor to support the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) and serve as the primary instructor for contract personnel. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering training classes and developing training plans for security courses, as well as preparing and executing training drills and scenarios to evaluate the effectiveness of security personnel and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a favorable environment for learning is provided.
  • Deliver training classes or develop training plans for security courses, as necessary.
  • Prepare and execute training drills and scenarios designed to evaluate the effectiveness of security personnel and procedures.
  • Develop law enforcement training programs.
  • Design, prepare, and order educational aids and materials and plan forward collective and individual training for Officers.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of relevant instructional experience.
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Possess one or more of the following certifications: Navy NEC 9501 I Antiterrorism Training Supervisor, Navy NEC 9502 Instructor, or NEC 9518 Naval Leadership Development Program; or, documentation of small arms instruction certification.
  • Current on certifications for all needed weapons of instruction.
  • Ability to pass all physical, psychological, and media requirements.
  • Documented completion of 3 semester hours of post-secondary school education in Instructional, Methodology, Training and Development, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or related course(s).
  • Certified as a range safety officer.
  • Certified to teach CPR/First Aid, AED.
  • Active EMT Certification.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Ability to interact professionally with government stakeholders.
