Job Description

Emmy Squared Pizza is seeking experienced Hosts to join our dynamic team. As a leading restaurant company, we offer a fun work environment, supportive leadership, competitive pay, health benefits for full-time employees, and a delectable menu that you'll be proud to serve our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional, prompt service to our guests.
  • Answer incoming calls in a timely manner.
  • Seat guests by finding a clean, available table, pulling out chairs, and placing clean menus in front of guests.
  • Adhere to seating guidelines to ensure equitable distribution amongst servers.
  • Greet guests with a pleasant smile and superior customer service.
  • Assist with take-out orders.
  • Monitor dining areas for seating availability, service, safety, and well-being of guests.
  • Assist servers when needed.
  • Thank every guest upon departure, invite them to return, and wish them a fond farewell.
  • Manage reservations; familiarity with reservation platforms.
  • Successfully adhere to our Steps of Service.
  • Working knowledge of menu and beverage offerings.
  • Ability to communicate guest requests, such as dietary restrictions, to culinary staff.
  • Perform opening and closing duties.
  • Help maintain a clean and presentable work environment.
  • Maintain a positive, outgoing demeanor during service.
  • Be safety-conscious to promote the safety of oneself, co-workers, and guests at all times.
  • Adhere to company policy and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Prior host or other front-of-house experience in a high-volume restaurant operation.
  • Prior related experience requiring excellent customer service, cash handling, service recovery, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; computer proficiency required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing the needs of guests.
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers throughout the restaurant.
  • Possess a passion for hospitality and a love of the food and beverage industry.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires frequent bending, reaching overhead, and twisting. Must be able to stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
