Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and care for all open wounds in the facility, including cleaning and dressing.
  • Complete admission paperwork and ensure accurate documentation of resident care services.
  • Provide expert advice and support to residents and their families.
  • Monitor residents and administer medication and treatments as needed.
  • Document resident care services and maintain accurate records.
  • Protect residents and staff by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Resolve resident problems and needs through effective communication and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Ensure high-quality care by adhering to facility philosophies and standards of care.
  • Maintain resident confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
  • Track and report infection control metrics, including monthly reports.
Requirements
  • Current NYS State RN License.
  • Long-term care experience preferred.
  • Wound and ostomy certification required.
  • Strong computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
