Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Control Specialist to join our Corporate Team in West Hartford, CT. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the consistent administration of financial control policies and internal control procedures across our Legrand, North and Central America entities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct performance, financial, and compliance audits, providing technical accounting assistance to organizational management and staff.
  • Develop and implement effective internal control procedures to ensure Sarbanes Oxley compliance, including documentation and testing activities.
  • Collaborate with business units to identify and remediate control gaps, utilizing strong project management skills.
  • Utilize analytical abilities, including experience with Microsoft programs like Excel and PowerPoint, to drive business decisions.
  • Perform other similar and related duties as required.
  • Travel approximately 25% of the time, with potential for remote auditing.

Requirements:

  • BS in Accounting, MBA a plus. CPA certification required.
  • 5-7 years of accounting/auditing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with a thorough understanding of Sarbanes Oxley.
  • Exceptional project management skills, strong auditing background, and extensive knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and Cost Accounting concepts.
  • Experience utilizing standardized SOX compliance software and audit programs a plus.
  • Ability to communicate persuasively and effectively, manage multiple priorities, and work collaboratively with a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to handle all types of personalities and relate to people at all levels of the organization.
