Senior Certified Nursing Assistant/PCT II

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Certified Nursing Assistant/PCT II to join our team at ChristianaCare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver High-Quality Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, including vital sign monitoring, Accu-checks, bathing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobilizing patients.
- Respond to Patient Crises: Respond promptly and effectively to patient crises, initiating interventions within the scope of your responsibilities and notifying RNs as needed.
- Perform Administrative Tasks: Order entry into Meditech, communicate with patients, employees, and physicians using courteous verbal and written communication skills, and perform unit clerk duties such as answering phones, entering charges, and setting up patient transportation.
- Maintain a Safe Environment: Perform assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices, and report any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations to your supervisor in a timely manner.
- Education and Experience: High school graduate or equivalent, and one or more of the following qualifications: previous patient care experience, nursing student with completed clinical hours, or licensed CNA in the state of Maryland or other US state.
- Certifications and Licenses: BLS Certification required, and licensed CNA in the state of Maryland or obtain Maryland License within 90 days to practice IV insertions.
This role involves Risk Exposure Category A – Potential for exposure to blood borne/pathogens, HIV, Hepatitis B or Hepatitis C in the performance of this job.
