Job Summary

The Registered Nurse- Cardiology is a key member of our team, responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating with physicians to develop and implement individualized care plans. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding medications, medical procedures, and other health-related topics.
  • Assist with hospital rounds and ensure that all necessary medical data is available for physician review.
  • Coordinate office-based Pacemaker Clinic, including interrogation of pacemakers and scheduling parameters.
  • Ensure adherence to federal and state compliance guidelines.
  • Screen charts for possible medication interactions and write prescriptions for physician signature.
  • Review correspondence and testing results to facilitate needed action and communicate with hospitals and other physician offices.
Requirements
  • Current BLS & ACLS certification with American Heart Association required.
  • One to three years experience in a medical office setting preferred.
  • At least five years nursing experience with two years of cardiology/electrophysiology experience.
Education
  • Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of residence.
  • Willing to maintain 6 CEU's per year.
