About the Role

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Neurotherapeutics Specialist. This is an ongoing opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing top-notch care to patients with complex mental health needs.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to individuals undergoing Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT), Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), and Ketamine treatments. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safe and effective administration of these therapies, monitoring patient vital signs, and collaborating with the treatment team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Treatment Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients prior to ECT, TMS, or Ketamine treatments to identify potential health risks and develop individualized care plans.
  • Treatment Monitoring: Closely monitor patient vital signs during therapy sessions, including pulse oximetry, oxygen saturation, and EKG readings.
  • Post-Anesthesia Recovery Management: Provide comprehensive post-anesthesia care to patients, ensuring their safe recovery from treatment and addressing any concerns that may arise.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with the treatment team to share patient information, coordinate care, and ensure seamless transitions between therapy sessions.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A current RN license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred.
  • No experience required; one year medical/psychiatric experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic medical records systems.
